Based on the experience and know-how gained in the development of the C24 and C27 models, the C28 takes advantage of the already consolidated knot technology for the production of a high quality ecological double chamber teabag at a reduced speed (180 bags or envelopes/minute). The new C28 combines IMA’s traditional standards of flexibility and versatility with a simpler technological content offering the possibility to pack naked bags, crimped outer envelopes or heat sealed outer envelopes together with suitable final packaging solutions (hand removal or automatic cartoning attachment). The new C28 is the response to the market demand for low capacity production of high quality non heat sealable double chamber teabags with string and tag.

The CA1 represents one of the most challenging innovations in the single dose coffee packaging sector, guaranteeing the highest efficiency perfectly in line with IMA’s traditional concepts. The CA1 is a unique high speed machine able to produce soft pods in a single lane, counted, stacked and packed into a heat-sealed stand up bag. The compact machine layout and the integration of all auxiliary units such as the pod counting and stacking unit, pack forming, filling and closing and weight checking guarantee at the same time the highest efficiency as well as simplified maintenance and improved user-friendliness of the machine itself. A remarkable saving in packaging material is also guaranteed. The CA1 is equipped with a gas flushing unit to introduce nitrogen into the pack during its forming process to avoid coffee oxidization. This system ensures a very low oxygen residue.
